2 years after the completion of the new visual identity of the city, the municipality implemented the extensive signage system for buildings and public space. The signage system is based on the style guide and corporate elements developed by onlab. The design was silkprinted and implemented onto signs, windows, flags, blackboards, walls, etc.
A basic pattern was developed which blended natural and industrial patters and was implemented in various ways: from patterns inside of envelopes to engravings or silkprints on urban signage systems.

The pattern was also used on reception windows to provide privacy for office staff.

Administration and official services: red
"Savoir" (education): green
"Faire" (know-how): black
"Vivre" (lifestyle) : magenta

Key terms of the strategy were derived from the cultural and historic traits of Tramelan and were identified as “Savoir" (representing the formation and continuing education), "Faire” (representing the know-how and craftsmanship of the watchmaker industry) and “Vivre” (representing the authentic lifestyle of the population).

These key terms served as conceptual framework for color-coding as well as other general design features of the visual identity.
Small signboards containing detailed information consist of two overlapping pieces. Several combinations of form were developed for varied functions. In administrative offices, shapes vary depending on the services.

Signs of the open air swimming pool are of blackboard material so that the pool attendant can update the water and air temperature every day.
To distinguish municipal buildings from a distance, each edifice was assigned a different flag design.
The industrial and technological area (built and financed by the municipality) was provided with a particular signage system to integrate the private companies that are hosted in the building complex.
