A simulacrum of the human body with the unsettling fragility of a grotesque bloated bundle of melancholy pathos. In fact, the baloon sculptures are destined to live only a few hours, because of the fleeting durability of the material.

Cover story, issue 921: Francesco Bonami

This bizarre alchemistic transformation, frozen into a loony anatomy made of balloons, is accompanied by the image used for the plastic outer cover, depicting a composition of birds in reference to the swarms of starlings that have taken up residence in the skies over Rome.
